Valuable Virtual Resources- Something for Everyone

There are some days when I can’t believe how fast time is flying by (it’s already January and I still haven’t gotten to ……) and other days when I feel that time is going so slowly (when will this pandemic be over?).

So depending on your mood on any day, I thought I would share some valuable resources to address your anxieties, boredom or curiosity.

Let’s start with support links for those who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, fearful and depressed.  Not sure if you know anyone who might benefit, but I think you likely do.  The Ontario College of Family Physicians  has provided resources for crisis support; free one on one counselling; peer to peer supports, addiction and recovery support as well as suggested apps for mindfulness.

The other resource is provided by the City of Toronto for ‘stay, play & learn from home’ and includes fantastic virtual programming links.

The last resource I want to share is a site that provides ‘free evidence-based education about dementia’. iGeriCare.ca    is an online portal designed to answer and provide information about the disease and caregiving.

Today’s blog is short but provides important information. So whether you are a caregiver, care recipient, parent, child, retired or working, I hope these resources can assist you.
