Greeting a new day

Reposted from @allaboutestates.ca

As the days get shorter, so it seems does our tolerance levels. Families seem to be a lot more stressed.  As I have always said, families are complicated and whether it is the aftermath of two years of ‘social distancing’ or just a steady development of older age and more money- families are simply not getting along. I am seeing a steady increasing in requests for our Functional Living Assessment, a handy tool that ‘focuses on the needs of the older client’ without getting caught up in the ‘he said, she said’ or ‘I love mom more so I should decide where she lives.’

With sadness, I read this past week’s article  “Parents sue son, daughter-in-law after life becomes ‘untenable’ in Richmond home “

On this Monday morning, please take a moment to pause, reflect and reconsider.
